m-Governance

There are more than six billion mobile phone users across the world, among them already one billion smartphones. The production of smartphones has already exceeded the production of traditional feature phones, making their importance in governance higher than ever. With this, many e-government services have become accessible through mobile technologies. Mobile solutions advance the quality and availability of public services and increase citizen participation not only in countries where ICT solutions are widely used, but also in developing countries. Our m-governance program looks at global examples and Estonian experience inj order to help bring public services closer to citizens.
