Martin Lään (MBA)
Conference Project Manager
Martin Lään contributes as a project manager for eGA conferences while also managing a court archives digitisation project in Moldova. He served as an Estonian diplomat for six years, followed by a business career in Philip Morris Estonia as Manager of Corporate Affairs and later as a founding partner of LVC consulting firm, focusing on government relations.
While in the foreign service, Martin contributed to the preparation of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and was part of the Estonian delegation at the summit in Tunis in 2005. He also served as the Eastern European Regional Group Coordinator at the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) of the Internet Governance Forum.
Martin was an organising committee member of the Freedom Online Coalition’s annual conference held in Tallinn in April 2014. He chaired the working group developing the conference’s outcome document – the Tallinn Agenda for Freedom Online.
Martin has a BA in Economics from the University of Tartu and an MBA from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Martin speaks Estonian, English, Russian, Finnish and French.
