eGA promoted EU cybersecurity support activities at the Eurasia Cyber Security Summit 2025
As part of Team Europe’s cybersecurity initiative in Central Asia, eGA and Expertise France experts joined cybersecurity stakeholders from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan at the Eurasia Cyber Security Summit 2025 in Tashkent. The summit brought together Central Eurasia’s information security leaders across the region and created a great platform for meetings and discussions.
At the summit opening panel, Merle Maigre, eGA project team lead, shared eGA’s progress achieved and further pans for EU cybersecurity support activities with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as regional activities for also Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
“It was inspiring to see such keen interest in collaboration to strengthen national cyber capacities across the region,” noted Merle Maigre.
In the afternoon seminar with Central Asian cyber experts, Piret Hirv delivered presentation on data management and data privacy titled “Using Technology from a Human Perspective”.
The collaboration on enhancing cybersecurity in the region is part of the broader Team Europe Initiative on Digital Connectivity in Central Asia, aimed at fostering digital transformation and cross-border cooperation across the region. eGA and Expertice France are leading the cybersecurity component.
