Lithuanian eJustice

Duration January 2026 - January 2028

Lithuania continues to advance the efficiency and quality of its judicial system, with a strong focus on modernising court processes and expanding the use of digital solutions. Building on its existing digital foundations, the country is exploring new ways to further streamline judicial workflows and support courts in managing routine processes more effectively.

This project supports the National Courts Administration of the Republic of Lithuania in preparing the groundwork for automating routine tasks in judicial proceedings. Through an assessment of the legal framework, organisational arrangements, and current workflows, the project will help identify opportunities to optimise processes and introduce automation in a structured and sustainable way.

Overall, the project contributes to Lithuania’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the effectiveness, resilience, and long-term digital development of its justice system.

Specific outcomes

  • An aligned legal framework supporting the automation of court proceedings
  • An enhanced organisational set-up and streamlined procedures
  • Digitised and automated workflows implemented in Lithuanian courts

This project is funded by the European Union via the Technical Support Instrument and implemented by the e-Governance Academy, in cooperation with the European Commission.
