Advisory Service and Capacity Building for Three African Countries
The general objective of the project is to contribute to closing the digital divide and leveraging digital innovations for inclusive sustainable development in Africa. The specific objective is to strengthen African national and regional partners’ capability to identify and implement priority actions in response to digitalisation challenges.
The project will be carried out in three selected African countries and include three main activities development of the Digital Maturity Assessment, knowledge sharing and study visit to Estonia.
The activities are part of the African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Digital for Development (D4D) project.
1) Digital Maturity Assessment and Action Plan
The Assessment provides technical support and capacity building to national and regional stakeholders to accelerate the identification of inclusive national digital transformation plans and support the implementation of priority actions to respond to digitalisation challenges.
2) Study visits
The study visits clarify the decisions that the governments need to make to build or enhance administrative capacity and develop sustainable public service delivery in an African country (selected by demand base).
3) Participation at the e-Governance Conference
At the conference government officials can learn from different models of digital transformation, presented by top visionaries and practitioners, to develop their use of e-services in a meaningful and future-oriented way.
