Training Program for Democratic Governance

The aim of the training program “International Republican Institute Rising Stars Multi-Regional Program” was to provide for  democratically-minded young leaders from closed and transitioning societies (Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus) the practical fundamentals of democratic governance in order to enrich pre-democratic planning processes and post-transition efforts.

The training consisted of academical lectures and practical side-visits and meetings with practitioners and experts on topics as government institutions and their roles in democratic society, free media, regulatory framework in e-Society, Estonian e-government – key elements and secure digital identity management, cyber security threats in the democratic information society; political culture and civic engagement in decision-making processes etc.
