New project: Open Government Partnership in local governments
In April 2014, the e-Governance Academy will launch its new project “Open Government Partnership in local governments”, which has an aim to increase the awareness and capability of Estonian local governments for implementing open, transparent and engaging governance. The project is financed by the NGO Fund.
It is necessary to include concrete activities of open governance into the action plans of local governments and to create a common open government partnership platform for sharing experiences and best practices. To that end, a network of front rank local governments is formed and activated. In close cooperation with local civic organizations, the network will elaborate key principles of open government for local governments and design concrete action plans based on them.
