eGA to cooperate with Kazakhstan e-government leaders

eGA signed cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan State Corporation “Government For Citizens” which is responsible for e-government development in Republic of Kazakhstan.

The cooperation agreement, named memorandum of mutual cooperation, was signed by the executive director Mr Arvo Ott and the chairman of the board Mr A.Y. Ospanov.

The purpose of cooperation is to promote the use of information and communication technologies and innovative solutions in public sector and share the knowledge in the field of e-governance, personal data protection and information security.

According to Mr Ospanov, years ago Kazakhstan took Estonian ID-card as an example in developing its own identification system. “In the framework of the cooperation agreement we are eager to learn even more from Estonian e-governance and find new examples to follow,” he said.

The signed memorandum follows the memorandum of understanding that was signed in July by eGA and streering committee of Regional Hub of Civil Service in Astana.
