E-government developments in Azerbaijan and Estonia have many similar features, both reaching levels worth international recognition, however their efforts have not been well published internationally or domestically. Public awareness of e-government and e-services requires long-term efforts from all states, efforts which both Azerbaijan and Estonia need to continue.
The objective of the project “Azerbaijan and Estonia – Two Eagles in e-Government” is to support the deveopment of good governance and e-government in Azerbaijan.
Project activities include an analysis of the development and results of e-government in Azerbaijan and Estonia and informing the national and international public about these results. Within this, a particular priority is raising awareness among the Azerbaijani population about e-government.
The project will result in a comparative analysis of e-government in Azerbaijan and Estonia. In addition to recommendations for e-government development in Azerbaijan, a printed and online publication on e-government in both countries will be produced. Finally, a cooperation network will be established between the relevant government agencies, NGOs and corporate partners in Azerbaijan and Estonia.
