Supporting e-government in Tunisia

Duration October 2013 - November 2015

The project “Supporting the government of Tunisia in developing their e-government system” continued the cooperation that was started in 2012, supporting Tunisia in developing their e-government system.

The project supported the development of the legal, financial and organisational setup of e-government in Tunisia, advanced the management of personal identification, and carried out a showcase on digital documents.

The project included two one-week training visits for Tunisian public officials to Estonia and 4 missions of Estonian experts to Tunisia (to take part in the meetings of joint working groups and gather input for reports and analyses).

The project concluded with recommendations regarding the e-government framework and the management of personal identification. Moreover, the Tunisian government was supported in selecting a digital document option to be further developed in the country.
