Today I Decide+

Duration January 2007 - June 2008

The aim of this project was the development of an electronic e-participation system that enables citizens to submit ideas, discuss them and vote for them. It all started in June 2001 when the Estonian government launched a public participation portal named “Today I decide” (known under the Estonian acronym “TOM”). TID+ is inspired by the experiences with the TOM tool. It is proudly presented by the e-Governance Academy, in partnership with the State Chancellery of the Republic of Estonia and the European Union Democracy Observatory.

The TID+ project aimed to disseminate the tool and the experiences with it to interested parties in the EU. It re-evaluated and ameliorated the present solution, developed comprehensive documentation on how it can be used optimally and made it available free for non-commercial use to all interested actors as a tool to increase citizens’ participation.
