Electronic identity for Malaysia

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia has taken the initiative to coordinate the digital identity development for Malaysia. e-Governance Academy and RaulWalter experts advised MCMC in establishing the electronic identity for Malaysia.

After visiting Estonia in 2017 MCMC decision-makers found Estonian electronic identity (eID) model to be one of the best examples that would also serve their needs in digital identification procedures. As there are many decision-making aspects how to move further, we are continuously working on describing more technical aspects on signing and security as compact solution.
