Ukraine’s new cybersecurity training platform moves into full-scale operation
The cybersecurity training platform CISO Campus is moving into full-scale operation in Ukraine, with comprehensive training programmes for cybersecurity professionals now underway.
Launched with the support of the European Union within the EU4Cyber UA project together with SSSCIP and e-Governance Academy (eGA), CISO Campus is a professional training platform for Ukraine’s cybersecurity leaders and specialists, combining practical training, expert knowledge and peer learning.
Taimar Peterkop, eGA Project Team Leader, highlighted the broader importance of developing expertise in this area:
“System security authorisation helps ensure that information systems meet security requirements throughout their operation. Building expertise in this area contributes to more resilient public digital infrastructure while supporting Ukraine’s broader alignment with European cybersecurity standards and practices.”
The programme puts a strong emphasis on practical work. Participants trained on simulated systems and went through the authorisation process step by step, from preparing the required documentation to obtaining authorisation and carrying out subsequent monitoring. This hands-on approach is at the core of CISO Campus training, helping professionals build skills they can apply directly in their work.
The Campus is now preparing to expand its training activities significantly.
“By the end of the year, we plan to launch new rounds of training for technical specialists, five additional programmes and the CISO Quick Start programme. Training opportunities will also gradually open to professionals from other public authorities and organisations,” said Volodymyr Sonko, Chief Operating Officer of CISO Campus.
With the support of the European Union within the EU4CyberUA project, eGA contributes to the development of CISO Campus as it expands its training activities and grows into a sustainable learning platform for Ukraine’s cybersecurity professionals. This work is part of eGA’s broader efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s cybersecurity capacity and resilience and supports building a professional cybersecurity community across the country .
