The President of Armenia visited the e-Governance Academy
On 17 January, H.E. Mr Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Republic of Armenia visited the e-Governance Academy (eGA) during his working visit to Estonia. In the meeting, Hannes Astok gave an overview of eGA’s activities in Armenia and afterwards future collaboration options were discussed.
eGA has conducted 15 projects in Armenia within the last 20 years, four of them were successfully finished last year. eGA has assisted Armenian public organizations to develop e-services as well as setting up a unified platform for public services and developing interoperability. Also, eGA has assessed the country’s cybersecurity maturity and piloted a digital maturity assessment model for migration management in Armenia.
“eGA experts have learned that thorough state-level coordination is needed for successful and sustainable digital transformation. In Armenia, we have witnessed that the political will to make digital transformation happen is in place. This is a key enabler for digital development in the public sector”, said the Executive Director of the e-Governance Academy in the meeting. “eGA experts are ready to continue their contribution to capacity building, digital identity and cyber security development.”
