The e-governance workshop for Pacific Ocean countries
Our experts Hannes Astok, Arvo Ott and Monika Lekic conducted an e-governance workshop on 1-3 October 2019 in Canberra, Australia where they shared key findings of ICT development in the Pacific Ocean countries and discussed further plans of digital transformation.
Attendees came from eight Pacific Island countries: Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, and New Caledonia, they were joined by experts from Australian Strategic Policy Institute and e-Governance Academy. Ambassador of Estonia in Australia Ms. Kersti Eesmaa took part in the opening of the workshop.
Regional workshop was part of the project: “Awareness Raising of Pacific Island Development Aid Countries” implemented by eGA and Australian Strategic Policy Institute. The project was financed by Australia’s Cyber Cooperation Program and Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the funds of development cooperation.
eGA experts also participated Australia’s Digital Summit 2019 which was organised first time and showcased Australian best practice in e-government solutions.
