Partner of the Year 2019: Electronic Interoperability Centre of Kyrgyzstan

This year, the e-Governance Academy’s award “Partner of the Year 2019” was forwarded to the Electronic Interoperability Centreof Kyrgyzstanfor themost persistent implementation of the data exchange solution Tunduk at the government level and promotion of e-governance.

Mr Arvo Ott, Executive Director and Hannes Astok, Development Director of e-Governance Academy, handed the prize over to Ms Nuria Kutnaeva, Director of the Electronic Interoperability Centreof Kyrgyzstanat the e-Governance Conference gala dinner at the Tallinn Creative Hub.

According to Hannes Astok, the Electronic Interoperability Centrehas achieved a lot together with the e-Governance Academy as well as many other national and international partners during its existance. “The Electronic InteroperabilityCentre is the most persistent promotor of e-governance and collaboration between government institutions and the private sector in Kyrgyzstan. The Electronic Interoperability Centrehas made secure data exchange a reality for the Kyrgyzstan government. In less than two years, the country has made a huge leap towards a document free society, offering 181 e-services. Tunduk, the secure data exchange system, is connecting all the existing information systems in the Kyrgyz Republic. We wish the Electronic Interoperability Centre and the government of the Kyrgyz Republic much success in continuing along the path towards a digital society and securing digital dividends – transparent, efficient and hassle-free governance. Keep up the good work!” said Astok.

According to Nuria Kutnaeva, the award is a big recognition for the organisation and motivates them to continue with digital transformation in the country. “We are glad to cooperate with the e-Governance Academy and all of our other supporters to make interaction with government in Kyrgyzstan more efficient and transparent,” said Kutnaeva.

Since 2015, eGA has awarded the most enthusiastic partners who develop e-governance and implement ICT solutions that help to govern in a more efficient, transparent and sustainable way. Previous annual awards went to the State Agency for e-Governance of Ukraine, the Government Office of the Republic of Namibia, the Government of Faroe Islands and the City Council of Ivano-Frankivsk, Moldovan e-Government Center, Effecta Solutions, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, City of Tartu, and EMT.
