Advisory Service and Capacity Building for Three African Countries
The general objective of the project is to contribute to closing the digital divide and leveraging digital innovations for inclusive sustainable development in Africa. The specific objective is to strengthen African national and regional partners’ capability to identify and implement priority actions in response to digitalisation challenges.
The project will be carried out in three selected African countries and include three main activities development of the Digital Maturity Assessment, knowledge sharing and study visit to Estonia.
The activities are part of the African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Digital for Development (D4D) project.
What we achieved:
- Digital Maturity Assessment and Action Plan. The Assessment provided technical support and capacity building to national and regional stakeholders, accelerating the identification of inclusive national digital transformation plans and supporting the implementation of priority actions to address digitalisation challenges.
- The study visits clarified the decisions governments needed to make to build or enhance administrative capacity and develop sustainable public service delivery in an African country (selected based on demand).
- Participation at the e-Governance Conference. At the conference, government officials learned from different models of digital transformation, presented by top visionaries and practitioners, to develop their use of e-services in a meaningful and future-oriented way.
