Ukraine has recently adopted new cybersecurity laws and regulations to align with EU standards. This project aims to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of Ukrainian public authorities and critical infrastructure facilities, ensuring their compliance with the newly adopted legislation.

Enhancing cybersecurity capabilities is crucial for Ukraine’s national security, economic development, and the protection of its citizens and public services, especially during the war and the recovery process. It also helps safeguard vital systems from cyber threats.

As a key outcome, the project will improve critical infrastructure resilience and strengthen cyber risk and crisis management mechanisms for Ukrainian public authorities and critical infrastructure operators through a comprehensive training programme.

The project’s most important outputs include:

  • Developing a relevant training curriculum and materials in collaboration with key stakeholders from the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP) of Ukraine;
  • Creating a Good Practice Compendium that includes relevant cybersecurity challenges for participants and best practices for effective responses;
  • Conducting training sessions for government authorities and critical infrastructure operators;
  • Promoting the training curriculum and sharing lessons learned with other stakeholders within the Government of Ukraine.
