e-Government capacity-building in Moldova

Duration January 2011 - April 2012

The main focus of the cooperation project “eTransformation and eGovernment capacity building support for the Moldovan Government” was to transfer Estonian e-government implementation experience to the Moldovan Government.

As result of the project, Moldovan Government reached the following results:

  • agreed on the principles of eGovernment organizational setup and technical architecture, taking into account existing situation in eGovernment, planned and on-going development projects, visions about M-Cloud and strategic projects planned by Moldovan government together with international donors and World Bank
  • agreed sustainable eGovernment development financing principles
  • developed a priority list of the legal acts to develop, amend or change to support eGovernment interoperability framework
  • developed the eGovernment implementation plan 2011-2013, including human resources development plan.

During the project, training visit to Tallinn for Moldovan Government politicians and high officials were arranged.
