Digitalising data and modernising registers
Around the world, governments are tapping into the power of data to deliver smarter services, improve decision-making, and build greater trust with citizens. A key part of this transformation is making the data in public registers and related internal processes digital.
Digital registers and high-quality data enable faster innovation, simpler administration, and more efficient service delivery. They also support stronger performance in global benchmarks, such as the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business index.
The e-Governance Academy (eGA) provides expert support in data digitalisation and registers modernisation. Our services are designed for policymakers and public sector leaders driving digital transformation and innovation.
With global experience in digital government, eGA helps transform data assets and core registers into interoperable, reliable, and AI-ready systems. This creates a strong and sustainable foundation for long-term digital development.
eGA offers a comprehensive approach to digital register development and data governance, including:
- Situational analysis: Assessment of existing register systems, legal frameworks, data quality, and readiness for digitalisation and AI adoption.
- Strategic planning: Development of clear, future-oriented strategies aligned with national digital transformation goals.
- Register design: Creation of architecture blueprints, APIs, and phased implementation roadmaps for automation and responsible AI use.
- Data digitalisation and standardisation: Cleaning, structuring, and harmonising data to ensure quality, interoperability, and future AI compatibility.
- Integration and interoperability: Connecting registers to digital platforms and data exchange systems for secure, real-time data sharing.
- Capacity building: Strengthening institutional skills in data governance, register management, and AI readiness through training and mentoring.
- Implementation support: Providing tools for monitoring progress, stakeholder engagement, and change management to ensure sustainable results.
