DEUCE: Digital Empowerment of the Ukrainian Community in Estonia
This project aspires to enable Ukrainians living in Estonia to learn about and use Estonian and Ukrainian digital solutions, satisfy their practical needs and enhance community support. We intend to recruit around 60 young digital-savvy Ukrainians in Estonia as digital envoys. They will assist over 1,000 digitally vulnerable Ukrainians in using both Estonian and Ukrainian digital e-services and solutions with the potential to raise awareness among 10,000 Ukrainians.
The vision is for vulnerable Ukrainian citizens to have an improved quality of life by being skilled in using Estonian and Ukrainian e-services and digital solutions.
The project has three main objectives:
- Ukrainian students and digitally vulnerable refugees build a stronger and more supportive community.
- The Ukrainian digital envoys feel a sense of achievement by addressing their digital literacy needs and helping others.
- A significant number of Ukrainian citizens living in Estonia are aware of the digital transformation in Estonia and Ukraine.
The objectives will be achieved by strategic training, mentoring and awareness rising events. Public presentations help raise awareness on a broader scale about the bottlenecks Ukrainians living in Estonia are facing and how the project has affected their lives.
The Telegram bot project aims to help Ukrainians with accessibility for the answers on the most common questions. Ukrainian refuges in Estonia will have an opportunity to get all the needed information regarding refuges status in one click.
The project aims to increase the resilience of the Ukrainian community in Estonia to widespread fraud attempts. Such attempts can cause significant material and psychological damage, increase the burden on Estonian law enforcement agencies, and can also indirectly undermine Ukrainians’ trust in the Estonian police and banking system due to their limited ability to prevent fraud and bring criminals to justice. The final product of the project should be a simple visual guide that systematises information about fraud schemes and tips to prevent fraud cases.
The project aims to help Ukrainians, living in Estonia, to gain the skills and confidence, necessary to prosper in the Estonian job market. Through a series of specialised workshops, we are helping Ukrainians acquire the digital skills they need to create or update their CVs, start a LinkedIn account, or write a motivation letter.
The Universal Digital Kit – DILIGHT is a one-of-a-kind guide designed to help Ukrainian refugee women in Estonia. It provides detailed information on how to effectively use digital tools and services to improve both professional and personal aspects of their lives.
The Easy Stuudium project is designed for Ukrainian children in Estonia and their parents. The project`s main task is to show how to use programs and applications that are necessary in everyday use. First of all, this is the Stuudium program and Dream apply. Not all programs have a translation into Russian, but not knowing and not using them only complicates everyday issues and takes a lot of time to find and solve problems. Developing instructions for use and explaining how to use them solves the problem.
