Olivér Várhelyi works as Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement at European Commission since 2019.
Previously he has been Permanent Representative of Hungary, ambassador extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary, Head of Unit responsible for Industrial Property Rights at European Commission,
and in different positions in the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
